  • Chris Pearson says...
  • No summit.Abandoned attempt from south in thick forest and low mist, after hellish forestry extraction quagmire and brashings. Growing doubt as to where exactly on earth I was(only had 1;50000 map with me)- south top by tarn 400m away I now see on better mapping.Time pressing on (a pre-dawn start) 3 hour run from / to Bowness via ferry. Retreated to do Tarn Intake for more forest hell. Interestingly in Aug 2014 I spent several hours 400m to the N of this summit in Tump ignorance sprawled in the sunshine in the field by road top before and after one of the Lakes 5 days orienteering events. One day maybe Ill get closer than 400 metres?
