- Thank goodness for footpath signs indicating the start into the wood from the large trading estate (by the lovely plastic mouldings and polyurethane factory) but then a lovely open wood with several paths including one heading steeply straight up to pop out onto the edge of the summit field with no fence or wall to cross and avoids the holly bushes. A popular wood for those who like to carve their initials on trees.
