  • Chris Pearson says...
  • Langdon means ‘Long Hill’. The Country Park sits on a 385ft high crescent shaped hilly ridge, giving panoramic views over the Thames Estuary and across to London. The five rangers help to maintain the park and act as visitor guides. As at Feb 2015 Thurrock council's proposal is to have one ranger and an apprentice to save 100,000. Did as short loop taking in both tops. The tall beacon was full of wood and ready to be lit - seems early if for the 70th anniversary of VE day in May as still 2 month away?
