  • Jan 15. A very dark cloudy evening (no moon or stars).muddy fp from NW and field edge to copse with high railing compound. Found trig behind bushes. Giant rabbit shadows from my incredibly bright new night orienteering torch. Worried I could be mistaken for a poacher going "lamping". Christ's Hospital School below floodlit like a prison. Also standing out were the red crane lights of the new big housing development at Broadbridge Heath.
