- 02/11/25 Parked in the car park as you enter the village. Tried accessing from the N but no chance. Area totally overgrown in the woods. Best to walk into Kippford to The Ark then head up the road and follow into the woods. A path roughly half way between the start of the woods to mote of mark goes off uphill to the left. A couple of false summits are passed first then you reach the true summit marked with a very large rock off to the right. Great views from here. Then off to the Mote of Mark
