- 27/04/26 Circular walk from Bassenthwaite Village. Followed path towards Peter House Farm, branching off N 1/4 of a mile before it through Whitefield Wood. Out of the wood headed E to the top with nothing to mark the summit. From here passed Little Tarn to Orthwaite where we headed NW to the road passing the Over Water hotel with its unusual statue in the field before it. Followed road for a mile and a half then branched off SE then SW to the summit of Bassenthwaite Hill and the excellent path back through Robin Hood Wood back to Bassenthwaite
