Member's Comments on Allestree Park...

  • Nick Wakelam says...
  • Pleasant walk around Big Wood and up and down road south of the water tower. Des Taylor's picture does seem the highest point - coincidently exactly where I had parked the car.
  • Chris Pearson says...
  • Entered one of my first orienteering events in Allestree Park. I still recall a golfer shouting at me "What are you doing, reading the sunday papers?" as I stood on the fairway peering confused at this strange new map full of different colours and symbols and a scale that was unfathomable. Easier navigation (on a road) in finding the highpoint on this visit.
