  • Parked in small lay-by to west of fort. No problem with access into the fort up the steps in through the pedestrian arch; no one around to stop us. Never seen a submarine conning tower at a unitary top before! Lots of options for top; impossible to tell which (if any) of the mounds within the fort itself are natural. Walked around outside too to be on safe side.
