  • Another misnamed top. Appleton Park refers to the housing estate on the other side of the A49. The correct name for this top would be High Warren. This is confirmed by only a cursory glance at the OS Map, which clearly marks the area adjacent to the top as High Warren. Walked footpath over golf course, just to the north, on many occasions. But only visited this top once in 1991, which is weird considering it was the highest point in my home town. Back then there was no fence, and it was easily accessible.
