Evening at Cabane du Trient

Holiday in the Swiss Alps, at La Fouly

• Champex to Cabane d’Orney (2831m) via glacier crossing
• to Cabane du Trient Hut (3170m) via glacier and assent of a little Peak
• Sacked the walk due to electrical storm & blizzard and rapidly returned to Champex
• Pleasant walk to Lacs de Fenetre from la Fouly
• from la Fouly up to Cabane de l’A Neuve Hut, small glacier crossing
• Up to des Essettes ridge, crossed steep glaciated col twice, requiring belaying both sides, and returned to la fouly. Snow conditions a little scary
• A short walk up Cambe des Fonds
